Activity of state agencies in Baku, Sumgait, Ganja, Lankaran and Absheron to be restored from May 4

The period of the special quarantine regime has been extended until 00:00 on May 31, 2020 as a result of analyzing the existing sanitary and epidemiological situation in Azerbaijan regarding novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection, the preventative measures applied in other states, as well as recommendations of the World Health Organization, the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers told APA.

In connection with this, the following measures will be taken in Baku, Sumgait, Ganja, Lankaran cities and Absheron region beginning from 00:00 on May 4, 2020:

• the activity of the determined number of employees of the state agencies will be restored (the maximum number of employees of the state agencies whose activity is restored will be determined by relevant decision of Cabinet of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Republic);

• “DOST” centers will restore their activities in the areas of the targeted state social aid and issuance of bank cards for social protection sphere in the territories where those centers are rendering services;

• the activity of the legal and physical entities carrying out works and rendering services for other entrepreneurial entities in various areas whose activities are exposed to restrictions during the period of the special quarantine regime will be restored;

• the activity of individual trade facilities in all areas will be restored;

• the activity of barber shops, beauty saloons and cosmetic service centers will be restored.
