"Today I want to talk to you about the war. I am talking about the war aimed at putting an end to gender-based violence," the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Israel to Azerbaijan George Deek said in video address regarding International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, 25 November, APA reports.

"One out of every three women in the world experience sexual or physical violence. Almost all women experience sexual harassment at some point in their life. No person should ever have to go through such experiences. Today we begin the sixteen days campaign of activism against gender-based violence. Women deserve a life of quality and dignity. Free from fear. And we all must act. Let’s raise awareness among our friends and family. Let’s listen to the stories of survivors and help what we can. Let’s break taboos. Let’s make sure that no woman will ever have to live in fear again. Let’s end gender-based violence," Ambassador said.
