“Infection rate may reach the point where people in need of medical care may be left aside,” Assistant of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev has today said at a briefing of Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers, APA reports.

H.Hajiyev noted that today, the number of active coronavirus patients in the country is more than 56,000: “There are even those with mild symptoms. 48,000 people are treated at home, and more than 8,000 people are treated in hospitals. Daily infection cases are 4.5 thousand. Taking into account the growing trend of the coronavirus in the world and in neighboring countries, Azerbaijan has decided to tighten the rules in this field. The goal is to reduce infection and death cases in Azerbaijan.”
