Assistant to President: “Rate of spread of coronavirus in Azerbaijan causes concern”

“The number of coronavirus cases in the world has exceeded 60 mln, the death toll has exceeded 1 million,” Assistant of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev has today said at a briefing of Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers, APA reports.
He noted that pandemic has also led to social problems, poverty and unemployment: “These issues were discussed at the special meeting of UN General Assembly held by the initiative of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.”
Assistant to President said that the rate of the spread of coronavirus in Azerbaijan causes concern: “We witness death cases of our relatives and tragic cases caused by coronavirus. This seriously concerns the public, there are appeals on imposing tightened measures.”
