Based on the “We are strong together!” call of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev, the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) is proceeding with the social support measures in connection with the special quarantine regime which continues currently in order to prevent spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in our country, the MES told APA.
Another similar measure has been launched by the ministry in Binagadi, Khatai, Garadagh, Narimanov and Nasimi districts of Baku City, as well as Absheron, Gabala, Beylagan and Barda regions of the country. Based on the lists given by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population, the rations consisting of food products are delivered to lonely people at the age over 65 and socially vulnerable families including martyrs’ families pointed out by employees of the MES.
The MES employees delivering social aid parcels intended for 4,000 families also conduct awareness raising conversations with citizens and emphasize the significance of compliance with rules of the special quarantine regime.
