Azerbaijan’s MES: Works started for repair and restoration of damaged houses as result of Armenian provocation in Azerbaijan’s Tovuz

In July of this year, as a result of subjecting to intensive shelling of Tovuz region by Armenia’s armed forces using large-caliber weapons and heavy artillery cannons, serious damage was caused to civil population, state property including infrastructure facilities, APA reports.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev always stranding by his people, this time either didn’t remain indifferent to fate of the country’s citizen. Thus, on August 6, President Ilham Aliyev signed the Order “about extra measures regarding elimination of the damage caused to civil population, state property including infrastructure facilities as a result of subjecting to intensive shelling of Tovuz region of the Republic of Azerbaijan by the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia using large-caliber weapons and heavy artillery cannons”. Based on the Order, in order to eliminate the damage caused to civil population in Agdam, Dondar Gushchu, Vahidli, Alibeyli, Yukhari Oysuzlu and Ashagi Oysuzlu villages of Tovuz region as a result of subjecting to intensive fire of Tovuz region of the Republic of Azerbaijan by the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, the funds amounting to AZN one million were allocated to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan from the reserve fund of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan envisaged in the state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2020.

Corresponding measures aimed at execution of relevant issues, coming from the Order, have immediately been started by the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Thus, in the above-mentioned settlements, first of all, according to experts, the demolition of houses, damaged by artillery fire, the cleaning of the area to ensure the normal implementation of work, as well as repair-restoration work have been started. Completion of works within a short period of time is planned and to this end enough technical equipment and live forces have been involved in the territory. Residents express gratitude to the head of state for care and attention.
