Azerbaijan’s STP: Fines and administrative imprisonment up to one month to be applied for drivers and passengers, violating rules

MIA Main State Traffic Police Department of Azerbaijan has released information on responsibility envisaged in the legislation regarding violation of applied rules, STP told APA.
Although ban on entrance of persons, who were not registered in Baku, Sumgait cities, and Absheron district, to the mentioned territories from March 19 to 29 in relation to the restriction aimed at prevention of spread of the coronavirus infection is in power, transportation of unregistered passengers by different car and truck drivers is often observed:
“Taking into consideration mentioned points, drivers are asked once more to follow special regime seriously in order not to make crowd on roads, specially where crossing points have been organized, as well as not to be brought to account, transportation of passengers, who were not registered in Baku, Sumgait cities, and Absheron district on mentioned route should not be allowed. Otherwise, transportation of unregistered passengers from different cities and regions of the Republic will be assessed as violation of requirements of Article 211 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in other words violation of anti-epidemics regime and fine in the amount of AZN 100-200 or administrative imprisonment up to 1 month will be applied for the drivers and passengers, who violate these rules.”
