Goychay Central Hospital has ceased its activities as a hospital for combating COVID-19 and has started accepting patients as before, Elchin Bilalov, director of Goychay DCH PLE, told APA's local bureau.

According to him, the health center was turned into a quarantine hospital on June 17 to fight coronavirus: "Later, this issue was discussed again in the TABIB. Goychay DCH is the largest hospital in the region, patients cannot travel long distances from Goychay to Agsu, Yevlakh, Mingachevir and Kurdamir hospitals, as well as well-known doctors working in Goychay hospital and modern medical examination equipment installed there. Therefore, taking into account the fact that thousands of patients from Goychay and surrounding areas apply every day, it was considered expedient for the Goychay District Central Hospital to operate as before, not as a hospital to combat COVID-19.

Starting from this morning, the staff of Goychay RMX started receiving patients as usual."
