Azerbaijan to create database and monitoring system of the population to be vaccinated

A database of important and high-risk groups, including the population whose vaccination is crucial will be created in Azerbaijan, this is reflected in the "Vaccination Strategy for COVID-19 in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2021-2022" approved by the Cabinet of Ministers, APA reports.
According to the document, the Ministry of Health, the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance, TABIB, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the State Agency for Citizen Services and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan should ensure creating database during the year.
The Ministry of Health, the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance, TABIB and the Ministry of Finance have been instructed to provide medical equipment required for serological screening of important and high-risk groups before COVID-19 vaccination in 2021-2022.
At the same time, a vaccination monitoring and evaluation system will be established. The Ministry of Health, the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance, TABIB should ensure the development of a monitoring and evaluation plan for 2021-2022, including indicators necessary for regular monitoring and evaluation of the vaccination process.
The document states that process and outcome indicators should be identified to assess the implementation of the strategy's objectives. Here, the goals of the Strategy should be taken into account and regular monitoring of the necessary indicators should be carried out.
The monitoring and evaluation system should provide the information necessary to evaluate the implementation of the Strategy, identify problems, eliminate them and implement appropriate measures.
