Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan has approved a decision to make financial assistance worthed USD 5 mln. to contribute to the Islamic Republic of Iran to prevent the coronavirus infection (COVID-19), press service the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan told APA.
An Order has been adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers on allocation of this fund from the Reserve Fund considered in the state budget for 2020.
The friendship and good neighborliness relations exist between the Azerbaijan Republic and the Islamic Republic of Iran. In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 virus, the concerned ministries and state institutions of the two countries closely cooperate: “The Azerbaijan Republic supports the efforts of the international community in the framework of the fight against COVID-19 virus, and continues its efficient cooperation with the World Health Organization”.
