The construction and commissioning of the Modular Hospital of the Medical Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the treatment of coronavirus patients in a short period was one of the important steps taken by the Azerbaijani government in the fight against COVID-19 infection in the background of the rapid spread of the virus, APA reports citing the website of Azerbaijani MES.
The Modular Hospital situated in Zigh settlement of the capital plays an important role in the treatment of patients with coronavirus infection, meeting the latest standards.
Unfortunately note that in recent days some social network pages and the mass-media have been spreading untrue and defamatory information about the activity of the hospital. Thus, some people who used to work in the hospital and were fired due to the expiration of the contract or failings in their work, try to overshadow the highly popular activities of the institution by unjustifiably claiming that they were fired illegally. In particular, some employees, citing the delay in their salaries for January this year, are trying to divert the issue and thus confuse public opinion.
In this regard, we would like to inform that more than 2,500 medical and non-medical staff worked on a contract basis at the Modular Hospital of the Medical Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the treatment of coronavirus patients. During this period, all essential and necessary conditions were created for the staff, their requirements specified in the employment contract were provided in accordance with the legislation.
Regarding the delay in salaries for January at the hospital, it should be noted that in accordance with the legislation, the arrangement of the salaries of staff with the relevant government agencies caused a certain loss of time.
As the issue has already been settled, all employees of the modular hospital will receive their salaries in the coming days.
It should, also, be noted that as the result of comprehensive measures taken by our state in recent months to treat patients with coronavirus, a sharp decrease in the infection with the virus among citizens has been observed. The decrease in the number of patients in the hospital led to the termination of contracts with the staff established by legislation. The professionalism and discipline of the employees were taken into account when terminating the contracts. Contracts with more professional employees have been extended on a part-time basis.
Note that all employees of the Modular Hospital of the Medical Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the treatment of coronavirus patients are covered by social insurance in accordance with the requirements of the legislation.
In this regard, we once again appeal to the media and social network users to clarify with the Ministry before disseminating the received information and not to disseminate untrue information.
