"Azerbaijan has taken operative measures to combat the pandemic, which is a common scourge, both domestically and internationally. In a short period of time, the number of laboratories has increased almost 8 times, more than 10 new modern hospitals, including modular hospitals, have been built. Thus, we have provided more than 10,000 beds for COVID patients," said Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan at meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State, APA reports.

Noting the shortage of doctors is a common problem, the head of state said: "Because no other health system had intended to have such a large number of patients. We held operative talks with colleague countries and invited doctors from 5 countries - Italy, China, Cuba, Russia and Turkey. This has greatly helped us in the treatment of patients."
