Azerbaijan’s MIA lent clarity to issue of mask wearing in automobile

“When a person driving automobile is alone, the mask wearing is not mandatory”, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told APA.

It was stated that if there is other person or persons in automobile in addition to the driver, all persons in automobile should wear mask: “Otherwise, the application of fines according to relevant procedure stipulated in law is envisaged”.

Note that based on clause 211.2 of the Administrative Offences Code, the individuals shall be fined in the amount of AZN 100, senior officials – in the amount of AZN 200, entities in the amount of AZN 400 for violation of requirements determined in regard to use of individual protective means during the period of the anti-epidemic regime, sanitary and hygienic and quarantine regimes, as well as for non-prevention of violation of those requirements by senior officials and entities. The individuals will be fined in the amount of AZN 200, senior officials – in the amount of AZN 400 and entities - in the amount of AZN 800 for the repeated commission of that offence within one year after the day of coming into force of the decision about the imposition of administrative reproach by the person who received the reproach.
