He noted that it is impossible to say the negative dynamic has stopped today: "Stabilization is not observed in the countries, where infection cases started before us, either. I think that we reach a peak point. When we arrive at the peak point, infection cases will continue with high figures, the number of those, recovered from the disease will also increase. The stabilization period will last for a while, then there will be decreases in the case of implementation of quarantine measures at the necessary level. It is hard to say it's time. Probably, this question will be answered certainly at the end of November and in December. It is difficult to forecast."
T.Eyvazov noted that there is nothing that is fully effective until mass vaccination or the formation of collective immunity: “Still effective are wearing a face mask, maintaining physical distance, practicing hand hygiene and covering mouth while sneezing and coughing, and minimizing contact. When the population is vaccinated against the novel coronavirus, there will be collective immunity, then the number of infections will be controlled, and the number of infections will be quite low. However, this will not be now, probably, after summer. Vaccines are also undergoing clinical trials. Russia, the US, and other countries hold these trials. However, it will take some time for these tests to cover a large number of people, and the results will be studied to determine how effective and safe the vaccines are. After this, our country will obtain an internationally recommended vaccine. At this time next year, it is likely that certain issues will be resolved. This is the closest positive forecast.”
