Broadcasting of “Space” TV channel to be suspended for 3 hours

The meeting of the National Television and Radio Council (NTRC) has been held, the Council told APA.

The results of countrywide monitoring of television channels conducted during May 11-17 have been discussed at the meeting.

It was noted at the meeting that the requirements of clause 35.7 of the Law of the Azerbaijan Republic “About television and radio broadcasting” have been violated by broadcasting advertisement for 18 minutes within the period between 11.00 p.m. – 12.00 p.m. on the air of “Space” television channel on May 13, 2020.

The Council being guided by clause 23.1 of the aforementioned Law, has made the decision to suspend for the period of up to 3 hours (from 08:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.) the broadcasting of TV shows on the air of “Space” television channel on June 4, 2020.
