- 27 November 2020
“A nightmare called novel coronavirus is currently circulating around the world. This infection has caused the illness of millions of people, and the death of half a million,” said chief specialist of infectious disease Teyyar Eyvazov, APA reports.
He noted that the situation in several countries is pathetic and pandemic also affected our country.
According to the chief specialist of infectious diseases, a seasonal increase of severe respiratory virus infections is also observed currently: “Clinical symptoms of the novel coronavirus are very similar to symptoms of other severe respiratory virus infections. Differentiation of them is very difficult especially for the symptoms observed at the beginning of the disease. That is why the person, who feels an increase in temperature, general weakness, tiredness, dry cough, sore throat, etc. should firstly isolate himself at home, wear a mask with his family members, as well as appeal to the policlinic on his residential territory by phone. Being under doctor control from first days is considered more correct.”
