Children of martyred servicemen will be provided with AZN 400-500 monthly pension, Azerbaijani MP says

It is proposed to repeal Article 19 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Labor Pensions” (additions to the insurance part of the labor pension) included in the budget package and, consequently, to make changes in other laws,

MP Kamal Jafarov told APA that it is proposed to increase the amount of the President's pension for the martyr's family from 300 to 500 manats per month.

The MP clarified the issues arising from the abolition of supplements to the insurance part of the pension.

Mr. Jafarov noted that in addition, a lump sum insurance payment of 11,000 manats will be made: “Each of the children of martyred officers under the age of 18 will be paid an average of 400-500 manat (monthly amount for each child). If the martyr is not entitled to a pension, each family member will receive an allowance of 80 manats, and their children will be exempted from tuition fees. Retired parents of the martyr will receive an additional 93.5 manat to their pension. In addition, the families of martyrs will be provided with apartments or private houses.
