Coronavirus vaccine is not recommended for cancer patients, Director of Institute of Pulmonary Diseases says

“COVID-19 infection spread in all of the world, exists in our country about a year and the first coronavirus carriers were detected in the late February of the previous year,” said Head of the Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology of Azerbaijan Medical University, Director of the Research Institute of Pulmonary Diseases, professor Hagigat Gadirova, APA reports.

According to her, the infection with this disease is still continuing: “Specialists say only vaccination may prevent the disease.”

The expert attributed the choice of the vaccine, produced by the Chinese company Sinovac, from several groups of vaccines to its safety.

According to H. Gadirova, at the first stage vaccinating risk group people, as well as health workers is right approach.

“However this vaccine is not recommended to people with AIDS receiving immune dipensant, oncology patients. We also do not recommend this to pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers because they have not been tested. In other cases, there is no side instruction.”

The expert noted that rumors about any complications to happen after some period of vaccination are baseless, and brought to attention that killed vaccine is unlikely to remain in the body for a long time, to integrate.
