Business Minister Paul Scully tells the BBC that Covid certification discussions are "really looking at the larger ticketed events that are far more of a challenge" to open up than shops, APA reports citing BBC.

He says there are "debates and discussions... to be had" about their potential use in non-essential retail but that it was "longer-term stuff".

The minister says the government is "working through all the evidence" and has not made a final decision on how and where certificates might be used in future.

"There are obvious practicality issues we've got to work through as well as ethical and discriminatory issues," Scully adds.
