Deputy Health Minister: “Second stage of vaccination is planned to be launched from next week” - EXCLUSIVE

"A vaccination rendezvous system should be introduced soon," Deputy Health Minister Viktor Gasimov told APA.

He noted that vaccinated individuals will be registered in advance: “The second stage of vaccination is planned to be launched from next week,” Viktor Gasimov added.

Note that the vaccination process has been launched in Azerbaijan since January 18.

According to “Vaccination strategy for 2021-2022 against COVID-19 disease in the Republic of Azerbaijan” in the preliminary stage health workers, people over the age of 65, staff involved in anti-epidemic measures by law enforcement agencies, while in the second stage those with high medical risk (those with chronic diseases of the respiratory system, hemodialysis, diabetes, obesity), people 50 years of age and older with at least one chronic illness, those working in educational and social fields, those permanently living in social facilities, ASAN Service and DOST centers, employees of the public transport sector, telecommunications operators and providers, and those in direct contact with the public in the postal sector, employees of bank sector those in direct contact with the population, those working in high-risk works (working in vital areas for the activities of society and working in significantly higher risk areas - national and regional security, justice, finance, etc.) will be vaccinated.
