He stated aging rate in the world is increasing: “It is a result of the fight against infectious diseases. However share of non-communicable diseases is increasing. Currently, attention to these diseases has increased. Rate of death from non-infectious diseases is 44% among people under 70 in the world. This indicator in Azerbaijan is a little higher. Thus, rate of death from non-infectious diseases is 48% in Azerbaijan. This indicator does not reach 30% in highly-paid developed countries, it is 26%.”

According to the Deputy Minister, fight against non-communicable diseases should be carried out seriously in Azerbaijan: “Only medicine is not responsible for the issue. All bodies should fight together. Promotion of physically-active lifestyle, awareness measures, and decrease of use of tobacco can be examples for it.
