Deputy chief physician, abusing duty powers, dismissed in Azerbaijan

Deputy Chief Physician Matanat Huseyzade Tofig has been dismissed from her post due to abusing duty authorities in Tartar District Central Hospital, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan told APA.

A legal application has been sent by Anti-Corruption General Directorate with the Prosecutor General about check of compliance with the held job position of and imposition of administrative sanctions on Matanat Tofig Huseynzade, Deputy Chief Physician for organizational and methodological works of Tartar District Central Hospital for “her abuse of official powers through non-ethical behavior driven by her non-material advantage”.

The application has been discussed in the Ministry of Health, as well as the Medical Council of the Tartar District Central Hospital. It has been determined Matanat Huseynzade seriously violated the ethical behavior of medical workers by acting contrary to her post.

Measures were also taken in relation to M. Huseynzade before. Thus, she was reprimanded due to violating ethical behavior rules on the basis of the application, presented to the Tartar District Police Department in August of this year. However, M. Huseynzade did not take lesson from it., and recommitted law violations and mistakes by abusing her duty powers. That is why in accordance with (ç) paragraph of the Article 70 of Labor Code, Matanat Huseynzade has been dismissed from her post and the labor contract, signed with her has been terminated from today – December 26.
