Director of Institute: “Now we see distrust reactions on vaccines”

“When COVID-19 emerged, there were people who did not believe in its existence. Afterward they started to understand this disease as there were infected people in their families,” said Director of the Scientific Research Institute of Medical Prevention Adil Allahverdiyev at the briefing of the Task Force held today, APA reports.

He noted that now we see the same reactions regarding vaccines: “The main basis of the survival of our body is the immune system. If there is no immune system, we can not live. Vaccination is the basis of protecting the immune system. Some vaccines kill the virus, some destroy spikes on the virus which cause the disease. No matter in which way it is obtained, the main target of vaccine is to activate the immune system.”
