Education institutions can function in limited manner from June 1 - JOINT INFORMATION

The State Examination Center (SEC) and the Ministry of Education have disseminated joint information, SEC told APA.

The information reads as follows:

"As is known, based on order of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Republic dated May 1, 2020, in order to prevent spreading of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection on the country’s territory, the teaching, learning and pedagogic processes at all education institutions functioning on the territory of the Azerbaijan Republic have been suspended from May 4until May 31, 2020.

According to this decision, the Ministry of Education and the State Examination Center will provide the next week to the wider public the information about time, format and procedures of conducting of final assessment and monitoring activities at general education institutions, arrangement of admission to the first grade, transfer of learners from one grade to another, organization of final and admission examinations, organization of summer examination sessions at higher education institutions and other levels of education, as well as implementation of the examinations for admission to state service and recruitment of teachers.

After June 1, the education institutions can function in the limited manner only for implementation of the activities in the aforementioned areas. The implementation of the lessons at the education institutions hasn’t been envisaged until the end of the current school year.
