Eldar Azizov: “Establishment of central district in Baku is planned in upcoming future"

“The establishment of central district in Baku with the instruction of the President is planned,” head of Baku City Executive Power Eldar Azizov said at the international conference on "Benefits of hosting major sports events" held at Baku Congress Hall, APA reports.

According to him, if the central district is established, special service will be provided to historical buildings: “An interesting condition is being established for preserving the facades of the buildings, to bring the streets to single standards. The decision will be made in the upcoming future.”

E. Azizov stated that renovation works are being conducted in the center of Baku at the same time, restoration of not only new buildings, but also historical buildings, constructed by local entrepreneurs as a result of oil development at the end of XIX - beginning of XX century, is carried out: “This process is obvious. Such current problems will be removed with the establishment of the central district.”
