Evacuation of 218 Azerbaijani citizens from Georgia completed - UPDATED

Evacuation of Azerbaijani citizens, who remained in Georgia due to COVID-19 pandemic, has been completed, APA's bureau in Georgia reports.

Pass of evacuated persons to Azerbaijan from "Sinig Korpu" border-crossing point with the accompaniment of workers of the Azerbaijani Embassy to Georgia has been provided.

In total, 218 Azerbaijani citizens are said to be evacuated.

The evacuation process is planned to be carried out in the next week too.

About 250 Azerbaijani citizens are evacuated from Georgia, APA's bureau in Georgia reports.

The evacuated people tested for coronavirus at clinics in Tbilisi, Marneuli, and Batumi last day and all of them tested negative. The evacuated citizens are now gathering in the "Sinig Korpu" border crossing point of the Azerbaijani-Georgian state border, their pass to Azerbaijan is provided with an accompaniment of Embassy workers.
