One of the longest streets in Gabala is named after Major General Polad Hashimov, APA's local bureau reports.

The street in front of the Alley of Martyrs in the center of Gabala is named after Polad Hashimov.

This 1,100-meter-long street has been renovated, tidied up, and new address boards have been installed.

Note that Major General Polad Hashimov, born in the Vendam settlement of Gabala, martyred as a result of provocation committed by the Armenian armed forces in the Tovuz region of Azerbaijan on the night of July 13-14. Some media outlets and social networks have spread unfounded information about the naming of Hazi Aslanov Street after the martyred Major General Polad Hashimov in Gabala. In this regard, Gabala District Executive Power told APA's local bureau that Polad Hashimov's name was given to the street where the Alley of Martyrs is located in Gabala. Polad Hashimov Street starts from the intersection with Hazi Aslanov Street and continues until the endpoint intersects with Arif Hagverdiyev Street.

The Hazi Aslanov street has not been renamed. The starting point of this street starts from the intersection with Heydar Aliyev Avenue, the endpoint extends to the memorial complex erected to immortalize the memory of those killed during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. The leadership of the district once again calls on mass media, users of social media not to disseminate false information and to avoid confusing the public.
