“Extremism is a treat which passes all bounds. It is important to make joint efforts in order to prevent it", Ghulam Isaczai, the UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan said at the international conference entitled as “Fight against violent extremism”, APA reports.
He stated that protection of peace and security, provision of sustainable development, and improvement of respect for human rights represent great significance in the fight against extremism: “The UN supports efficient cooperation with Azerbaijan in the area of fight against extremism”.
G. Isaczai brought to the notice that a community had developed in Azerbaijan where the religious tolerance and harmony ruled. He stated that the secularity was protected and serious fight was waged against extremism in Azerbaijan.
