“Another issue that worries us is the occurrence of new strains of COVID-19,” Representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Azerbaijan Hande Harmanci told APA.
According to her, the new strain, which is emerged in the UK, is spreading faster: “This variant is found in many countries, including Turkey. It is impossible that a new strain of coronavirus will not come to Azerbaijan. It will definetely come to Azerbaijan. Since this is a rapidly infecting strain, we will see an increase in the number of infections again.”
