Citizens' use of another vaccine in the vaccination, conducted in the country, where the citizen lives, will be possible in the future. The main point is the implementation of appropriate vaccination for the protection of the health of our citizens. Other vaccines can also be brought to Azerbaijan by assessing their risk-benefit ratios (taking into consideration quality, effectiveness, and safety) after CoronaVac," said Head of TABIB Department of Medicine and Medical Devices Elmin Guliyev in his interview with APA as a response to the question of “Vaccination of Azerbaijani citizens against coronavirus in foreign countries with other vaccines – for example, with Pfizer, Moderna, etc. is possible. Does Azerbaijan accept vaccination with other vaccines, besides CoronaVac?”
Mr. Guliyev said that in the preliminary stage the registration of those who to be vaccinated will be conducted electronically. In case of need confirmation document on vaccination will be presented to the citizens: "Each country is free to choose a vaccine. European Medicines Agency does not have an official decision in this regard. Such issues are considered by the WHO and the WHO considers that to require such a vaccination passport is incorrect currently. Thus, as countries apply various vaccines and taking into consideration that they are new, this issue is not considered topical.
