Current weather condition in the country has been revealed, National Hydrometeorological Service of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources told APA.

Rainfall has been observed in most districts. Snow has fallen in Saribash, Zagatala, Oghuz, Shaki, Gabala, Balakan, Goygol, Guba, Gadabay, Griz, Dashkasan, Aghdara (Ordubad), Gusar, Shabran, Shahbuz, Nakhchivan, Altıaghaj.

Height of snow cover has been 42 cm in Saribash (Gakh), 15 cm in Kishchay (Shaki), 7 cm in Gadabay, 6 cm in Goygol, 5 cm in Dashkasan, Griz, 2 cm in Oghuz, Shaki, Guba, Altiaghaj, 1 cm in Aghdara (Ordubad), Gabala, Gusar, and Khaltan.

Amount of rain has been 3 mm in Shamkir, Aghstafa, 2 mm in Tovuz, Ganja, Zardab, 1 mm in Nabran, Goychay, Tartar, Barda, Maraza, Lankaran, Jafarkhan, Sabirabad, Astara, Kurdamir, Baku, Sumgayit, Bina.

Speed of west wind has reached 30 m/s in Naftalan, 25 m/s in Neftchala, 24 m/s in Khinalig, 23 m/s in Dashkasan, 20 m/s in Ganja, 16 in Gadabay, Yardimli, Shamkir, Tartar. In Baku and Absheron Peninsula: 20 m/s in Gum Island, 16 m/s in Oil Rocks, Pirallahi. According to the Oil Rocks Station, height of a wave in the Sea has reached 2.9 meters.

Rainfall is expected to intensify in the country, temperature will decrease by 4-5 degrees, snow will fall in mountainous territories and foothills. The frosty weather condition in mountainous districts and foothills will cause roads to be icy.
