"Many of our citizens and students have been brought from Italy, Hungary and Russia," Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, said at a press conference organized by the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers, APA reports.

Mr Hajiyev said that Azerbaijan's diplomatic missions also provide necessary assistance to citizens abroad: "Our citizens in Turkey, including Ukraine and Dubai, are provided with support. Borders are closed and states are focused on breaking the internal chain of infection. We appeal to our citizens to show restraint, entry, and exit to the country is suspended until April 20. Sometimes there are citizens who call our diplomatic missions and insult us. To date, about 9,000 citizens who came from abroad have been placed in quarantine. Most of these quarantine areas are five-star and three-star hotels. Although it was difficult for the state, we took this step. Because people who do not show symptoms can also be contagious."
