Holding solemn marriages during pandemic period postponed
- 14 August 2020
Holding events such as solemn marriages during the pandemic period has been postponed, said the head of the Registration Department of the Ministry of Justice at the "ASAN service" center No. 1 Rashida Menafova at the videoconference “Access to justice during a pandemic” held by Ministry of Justice, APA reports.
She noted that according to the legislation, the marriage may also be registered at the place where the wedding is solemnly held: “However, such events have been postponed due to the pandemic. I would like to note one more point that a condition for registering solemn marriages has been created at the registration department. Those who want to hold solemn marriages appeal in these rooms. In this case, we look at the number of those who want to attend. In accordance with the requirements of the pandemic period, we take this step by thinking about the health of other people who applied, and as well as their health.”
