“The number of coronavirus infection cases will peak till January-February,” Natiq Aliyev, member of the Working group on Infectious Diseases of the Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB) told APA.

He noted that during this period, we encounter cases of COVID as a result of the involvement of bacterial infections which collapse the immune system: “Thus, we think that the number of coronavirus infections will reach a peak at that time. It is impossible to say a number. If the quarantine rules are not followed, this figure may increase by 2-3 times comparing with the current number.”

Specialist of infectious diseases noted that there are reinfection cases of coronavirus in Azerbaijan too: “There are reinfection cases of coronavirus. It is possible. These cases are also confirmed in Azerbaijan currently. I think the Imposing of a strict quarantine regime is desired. Because it is essential to switch to strict quarantine regime in order to prevent dynamic indicators.”

N. Aliyev said that the reasons for those, who die from coronavirus, are different: “Main of them may be myocardial infarction, heart-lunger failure in relation with other chronic diseases. we face such cases. Mostly, old people die from coronavirus. But it does not mean a death case is not recorded among the young.”
