Italy has left the top ten list per number of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection cases, and its place has been taken by Iran, says the information disseminated by TASS, APA reports.

From the European countries, only the United Kingdom (the 7th place) and Spain (the 9th place) have taken place in the top ten list per number of coronavirus infection cases.

The USA has settled down in the first place. The number of people infected with coronavirus in the USA is nearing 3 million, while the number of people died of this disease is above 130 thousand.  

In India taking the third place, so far, over 700 thousand cases of infection with COVID-19 have been recorded, while 20 thousand people have died.

In general, in the whole world, the number of people infected with this virus has surpassed 11.6 million, while about 538 thousand people have fallen victim of the pandemic.
