"The situation with coronavirus infection in the country is not good. The number of infected patients is expected to increase," Javid Pashayev, head of the resuscitation department of the Teaching Surgery Clinic of Azerbaijan Medical University told in an Interview with APA.
"Almost every household has a coronavirus patient. If we take into account that 10 percent of patients become infected every day, 40-50 people will die every day from next week. I think that infectious disease specialists will determine how long the situation will last," said Mr. Pashayev.
According to him, the number of patients is expected to increase from next week: "Unfortunately, there is already a shortage of space in hospitals. Despite the prevalence of the disease, there are still those who do not believe in the virus. If we used to claim that "every home will have a coronavirus patient", now we can say that there can be death in every home. Until the vaccine is found, adherence to masks, distance, and cleanliness should become part of our lifestyle. If we follow all of this, we can prevent it to some extent. If it is not important, do not go out and do not make contact."
