"The admission to higher education institutions will be conducted on the basis of new classification as early as beginning from 2020-2021 academic year", said Minister of Education Jeyhun Bayramov when speaking at the ministerial panel entitled as “Creative industries: sustainable development and new opportunities for employment”, APA reports.
The Minister noted that vocations and specialties changed very rapidly in the contemporary world: "Taking this into consideration, the classification of some specialties are reconsidered with some periodicity, and new specialties are confirmed. The new classification of specialties for baccalaureate and magistracy levels of higher education was confirmed by Cabinet of Ministers in February 2019. Currently, higher education institutions are updating their curricula".
J. Bayramov stated that 70% of alumni graduating from universities in creative fields enter the labour market in a short time: “|Percentage of self-employment on creative fields is very high in the world experience. It changes between 30-60% in various countries. In this regard, I consider that formation of skills regarding entrepreneurship and business ethics is important. People with creative thinking should be directed especially to this direction.”
