Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency (AFSA) has prepared a “list of high-risk products over Highly pathogenic avian influenza and coronavirus” within the framework of fighting measures taken to protect the country from avian influenza and new coronavirus diseases, said Chairman of the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency (AFSA) Goshgar Tahmazli, APA reports.

According to him, high-risk foods associated with bird flu are live birds, poultry products, poultry and bone meal (used as feed), bird fluff and bird feathers.

The Chairman of the Agency also spoke about high-risk coronavirus products: “This list includes cold-blooded and warm-blooded wild animals, animals in zoos, trophies of wild animals, fish and fish products (chilled, frozen, etc.), seafood (chilled, frozen and etc.), meat products of animal origin, poultry and poultry products. "

Note that, in order to strengthen measures to combat the epidemic of coronavirus that arose in China and is widespread in several countries of the world, the Agency introduced temporary restrictions on the import of live animals, fish, and seafood from countries at risk of infection into Azerbaijan.
