MES issues warning regarding use of beaches

According to relevant decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Republic, leaving residential places or places of stay by the persons living in a number of cities and regions of the country has been prohibited from 00:00 on June 14, 2020 until 00:00 on June 16, 2020 for ensuring the toughening of the special quarantine regime in order to decrease rate of spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection, as well as to bring down to minimum the aggravations that could be caused by this virus, the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) told APA.

Taking into consideration the above-mentioned, as well as attendance of beaches by some citizens in connection with rise of air temperatures in recent days as early as before announcement of opening of the beach season, the use of beaches by citizens living in Baku, Sumgait cities and Absheron region is categorically prohibited during the above-mentioned days: “The relevant forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations functioning together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs will draw patrol duty along coast of the Caspian Sea both on land and with boats in the sea in Baku and Sumgait cities and Absheron region in order to ensure enforcement of this prohibition and to prevent attendance of beaches by citizens.

We once again call on our citizens to strictly comply with all decisions and recommendations of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Republic in the framework of fight against coronavirus pandemic in our country”.
