Medical facilities allocated to the fight against the coronavirus pandemic automated

120 sample reception points and 19 laboratories have been automated in the country by the Information Technologies and Innovations Department of the State Agency on Mandatory Medical Insurance in order to support measures, conducted within the framework of fight against coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemics in Azerbaijan, Agency told APA.

Mentioned institutions have been provided with computer technology, printers, barcode readers, and software for operative reception of samples and obtainment of results.

Sample receiving points carrying out the receiving of samples in order to detect coronavirus infection cases include special regime medical institutions allocated for fighting against pandemic and emergency and urgent medical services.

The purpose is to ensure the results of tests regarding coronavirus automatically processed into a single database, to inform the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers, as well as other state bodies about the results in an electronic manner.

The Agency has also provided sending SMS to those people, who have been tested negative for coronavirus. Thus, people, who have been tested negative, will obtain information in this regard via SMS by the Agency.
