Member of Task Force: "Healthy person doesn’t need to wear mask"

"Our hospitals and medical personnel don’t have a mask or medical alcohol shortage problem. But the provision of the whole country with masks and medical alcohol doesn’t fall within our responsibility", said in a statement Vasif Aliyev, head of TABIB’s Working Group, member of the Operative Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan, APA reports.

He said not only in the case of coronavirus, but in case of all respiratory diseases, a sick person should wear mask: "And a healthy person doesn’t need to wear mask. These masks are not so much protective, only a sick person should wear a mask so that to prevent spread of the virus. In hospitals, a special mask with high protective capacity is used by medical personnel, and such masks are not sold in drugstores".
