Members of ambassadors’ families visit IDP’s settlement

The event entitled as birlikdə güclüyük! / We Are Stronger Together!” dedicated to the topic of fight against coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has been held with support of the State Committee for Refugees’ and IDP’s Affairs (SCRIDPA) and with coordination by the well-known painter Gunay Zebij at “Khary bulbul” Training and Production Association situated in “Gobu Park-3” residential complex built in Garadagh district of Baku City, the press service of the State Committee told APA.

The event was attended by the spouse of the resident-representative of the UN Development Program for Azerbaijan Alessandro Fracassetti, Jasmin Fracassetti and his son Zachary Fracassetti, Croatia’s ambassador to Azerbaijan Branko Zebic and his spouse Gunay Zebic and their children Karolina and Josip Zebic. Besides, the spouse of India’s ambassador to Azerbaijan Bawitlung Vanlalvawna, Dr. Rosy L. Khuma and his daughter Regina Lavkimi Bawitlung, while the senior officials of the National Fine Arts Gymnasium under the Azerbaijan National Conservatory joined the event in online format.

In the framework of the event, the presentation of the art work of Gunay Zebic entitled as “We will win together!” took place. The author created this work on the basis of the ideas of Baku schoolchildren of various ethnic origin about fight against COVID-19 pandemic. The artist established virtual live connection with the children during the period of implementation of the quarantine regime and conducted conversations with them about the negative impact of the pandemic on the world, the people showing self-sacrifice in the fight against the disease, the importance of protection from the infection. The teenagers from the IDP families also participated in the conversations.

During the presentation, also the “Khary bulbul” spectacle staged by the group of teachers and pupils mainly consisting of internally displaced people (IDPs) of the Theater department of the National Fine Arts Gymnasium under the Azerbaijan National Conservatory was demonstrated. Besides, the pupils of the Fine Arts Gymnasium recited poems in the Azerbaijani, English and Croatian languages.

In the end of the event, the letters of gratitude and the prizes were presented to the schoolchildren.
