"Vaccination process of people over 65 has been conducting from February 8, and people at the age of 50 and more from February 17 against COVID-19," said a member of Working Group of the Ministry of Health against COVID-19 Sabina Babazade, APA reports.
According to her, vaccination of pedagogical and technical staff has firstly been started in a centralized manner in general educational institutions in Baku: "After registration for the first dose, date and time of both doses are sent to a citizen as a message. Non-existence of the second registration also creates facilitation for citizens."
An official of the organization noted that not only the COVID-19 vaccine, but all vaccines can cause certain side effects after injection: “Fatigue, short-term headaches, mild fever, or mild pain at the injection site are normal. Sometimes it is possible to get high blood pressure due to the excitement of the vaccine. These cases apply to all vaccines. We have not faced any serious conditions or complaints. We should not forget that vaccine is the most effective way to protect against infectious diseases. Currently, the vaccination process is underway successful in accordance with the strategy.”
