Control measures by the Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AFSA) on food products, imported to the country, are continued, AFSA told APA.

Inspectors of the Agency have reviewed 23.50 tonnes of dates, imported to our country from the Republic of Iraq by AGRO ALLIANCE LLC within the framework of conducted control measures. During the review, samples have been taken from imported products and presented to relevant laboratory of the AFSA. As a result of checks, mold has been detected in date products.

The Agency prevented these products, which are useless for consumption, to enter the sale network. Relevant measures are taken within the framework of legislation requirements now.
