Most court proceedings cancelled in Azerbaijan’s Baku, Sumgait, Ganja, Lankaran, Yevlakh, Masalli, Jalilabad cities

Most court proceedings have been cancelled in Azerbaijan’s Baku, Sumgait, Ganja, Lankaran, Yevlakh, Masalli, Jalilabad cities, the Supreme Court told APA

It was stated that in connection with prevention of the threat of spreading of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection in the Azerbaijan Republic, taking into consideration the necessity of compliance with recommendations of the World Health Organization and the Decision of the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Republic dated June 19, 2020, as well as the necessity of further implementation of the approach stipulated in the Decision #6 dated April 23, 2020 and adopted by the Supreme Court of the Azerbaijan Republic, the courts of the Azerbaijan Republic have been recommended to temporarily suspend consideration of all cases under investigation except for urgent cases and to hold urgent court proceedings by means of the “Electronic court” information system and to receive citizens only by means of internet, mobile and landline telephone communication.
