New academic year begins in Azerbaijan

The academic year 2020-2021 begins in Azerbaijan today, APA reports.
According to forecasts at the beginning of the 2020-2021 academic year, in the new academic year, 1,574,206 schoolchildren are expected to be trained in the republic's general educational institutions.
The Ministry of Education told APA that there are 733,279 girls and 840,927 boys among schoolchildren.
Education in the first grades of secondary schools is predicted to 165,511, in the IX grades - 132,734, in the XI-XII grades of 85044 students.
