As informed, applications for membership in the Public Council to be established under the Ministry of Emergency Situations are being accepted from February 26 to April 3 this year, Ministry of Emergency Situations told APA.
According to the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 816-IVQ of November 22, 2013 “On Public Participation” and the “Regulations on Election of the Public Council by Civil Society Institutions” approved by the Resolution No. 171 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated May 30, 2014, on March 10, 2021, the next meeting of the election commission of the Public Council was held at the Ministry.
The meeting, held in the administrative building of the Ministry, was chaired by the chairman of the commission, Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Faig Tagi-zade. At the meeting of the Election Commission, the appeals of the representatives nominated by the civil society institutions were considered, their registration and other issues related to the preparation for the elections to the Public Council were discussed.
