"Coronavirus is an RNA virus so that it constantly mutates, and these mutations occur in different regions of the virus's genome," the State Agency of Mandatory Health Insurance (TABIB) told APA.
The TABIB said that no case of the UK coronavirus variant was recorded in Azerbaijan.
The UK has reported a new variant of coronavirus that officials say is highly infectious, but there has been no evidence so far it is more likely to cause severe disease or mortality, the World Health Organization said.
