From November 1 of the last year i.e. the day on which the taking for adoption authorities were given to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population until now, 20 children were given up for adoption, said Director of the Department of Child Adoption and Care for Children Deprived of Parental Custody Javid Shahmaliyev in the live broadcast on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population, APA reports.
According to him, 13 of those children are boys, while 7 – are girls. 4 of those children were taken for adoption based on appeal with an application about taking for adoption submitted by stepparents, while 12 – by a close relative. One child was taken for adoption based on agreement between parents, while 3 children were taken for adoption through submission of appeals to orphanage institution.
