Number of people died from flu last year in Azerbaijan announced

Last year, 63 people died of acute respiratory infections of the respiratory tract in Azerbaijan, State Statistics Committee told APA.

35 of died people are men, 28 - women. 50 of them are children at the age of 0-17.

According to the information the number of people who died from flu was 3. 2 of them were men, while one woman. It has been noted that one of those who died is a child.

The number of people who died from acute respiratory infections of the upper respiratory tract in 2019, was higher in Shamkir (6 people) and Sumgait cities (5 people) in comparison to other cities and districts.

It has been noted that 337,300 people were diagnosed with multiple or undiagnosed acute infections of the upper respiratory tract and the flu for the first time last year.
